Mobile Home Insurances Cost

I want to know why a fla mobile home in 1969 cost $ 2300 per year for insurance, but a 4 bd house cost the same?
Commissioner will Insurance to help me? I have a lease, and costs only $ 500 per year to cover, but since I moved into that now costs $ 2,300 per year for cover .. This seems very unfair.
Unfair? Possibly – Yes Then the Commissioner of Insurance to help? No. Insurance premiums have been submitted and approved by Insurance Department. In a word, a mobile home is more likely to be damaged or destroyed a single family home. Especially if it's 30 years as the built at that time are not considered "robust" as those currently under construction. In addition, a rental property that has secured limited warranties, compared to owner-occupied. About the problem is Florida is one of the most regulated in the country. Rates are prescribed and monitored by the legislative bodies of state government. Consequently, many companies for 10 years decided to leave FL and do business here (see the recent developments State Farm, as a good example). Therefore, there are fewer companies to choose from. FL is a sad example of supply and demand. Hope that helps shed some light. I agree, however – not only at all.
